Last night, at the IX edition of the Marcas de Restauración Awards, held at Platea Madrid, Areas, a global leader in travel dining, was awarded in the “Innovative Concept” category for its own brand, Sibarium. These awards, which have been held annually for nearly a decade, aim to highlight best practices and success stories in brand restaurant companies in Spain, as well as recognize organizations, professionals, and companies that support and contribute to the sector’s success.
By awarding the ‘Innovative Concept’ prize, the organization has distinguished Sibarium for its distinctive approach in the sector, which redefines the gourmet experience in the airport environment. This airport-exclusive brand was born in 1997 at Terminal 2 of Barcelona Airport and is currently present in the three busiest airports in Spain: Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat, with one establishment (Terminal 1); Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport, with four establishments (Terminal 1, Terminal 2, Terminal 4, and Terminal 4S); and Palma de Mallorca Airport, with one establishment.
