Recently interviewed by The Moodie Davitt Report, Areas Chief Corporate Officer Montse Adán shared her perspective on how people, culture and inclusion are shaping the company’s long-term growth. She explains that her role is to connect people, processes, technology and transformation across all markets, ensuring that business needs are supported by the right structures and talent strategies. As she puts it, building strong teams is the foundation for everything Areas achieves.
A key theme throughout the interview is Areas’ belief that people are its greatest asset. With more than 24,000 employees across 11 countries, the company places talent at the heart of its You Drive Areas strategic plan, focusing on attracting, developing and engaging people while fostering wellbeing, inclusion and a culture where everyone feels they belong and can reach their full potential.
Looking ahead, Montse highlights the importance of scaling this people-first culture as Areas continues to grow internationally. Her priorities include strengthening a consistent culture across countries, embedding diversity, equity and inclusion throughout the organization, attracting the best talent and supporting employees’ development while adapting to the evolving travel hospitality industry. The overarching message is clear: sustainable business growth starts with investing in people.
